The desire for creating cinematic soundscapes grew as a result of working together on a film (by Stonjaus Films) for a Chinese 48 film event (CCTV). The idea for the project “Simon Atman” was sparked by this sync licensing initiative.
The project ‘Simon Atman’ was beginning to evolve into a new domain of composing music without limitations in quest of finding sounds that elevate you. This, together with a passion for the meditative tones of the pandrum (hangdrum), guitar, harmonica, and other ethnic instruments coupled with organic ASMR triggers, resulted in the creation of the distinctive hypnotic semi-electronic music you will hear today.
Several genres with various influences are audible. Here are a few of the influences: Röyksopp, Bluetech, Ott, Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Carbon Based Lifeforms, TOOL, Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree.
The music of “Simon Atman” will have a unique style of psychedelic music. Rhythmic and cinematic downtempo music with traces of progressive rock, blues, ambient, chillout, trip hop, psychill, and chillout.
